The Galápagos Islands
A living museum of evolution, the Galápagos Islands are unlike anywhere else on Earth.
Isolated in the Pacific Ocean, this volcanic archipelago is home to an astonishing variety of wildlife found nowhere else — from playful sea lions and majestic giant tortoises to schools of hammerhead sharks gliding through its rich waters.
Each island tells its own story through unique landscapes, from lava fields and lush highlands to pristine white-sand beaches. Here, time slows down, and nature takes center stage — offering the rare chance to connect deeply with the wild.
San Cristobal Island
San Cristóbal was the very first island Charles Darwin stepped onto during his second voyage with the HMS Beagle in 1835.
Though small, it holds incredible natural richness, sheltering a dazzling array of wildlife—frigatebirds soaring above, giant Galápagos tortoises roaming the highlands, playful sea lions along the shores, and so much more.
What makes San Cristóbal truly unforgettable (and one of my personal favorites!), and why our journeys start here, is the unique energy it carries: the island’s vivid landscapes, the warmth of its community, and above all, the profound sense of connection to nature that embraces you the instant you arrive.
Freediving & Exploration Spots
This expedition focuses on exploration with opportunities for free diving workshops, but no formal free diving training.
You'll still get plenty of chances to free dive, from swimming with turtles and sea lions in shallow waters to deep diving with hammerhead sharks at Kicker Rock. The adventure never stops!
For Freediving: A freediving certification is NOT required to attend, but we highly recommend having at least a level 1 freediver certification or having completed a freediving class before the trip to fully embrace the experience and make the most of the expedition

Kicker Rock
Known locally as “León Dormido” or Sleeping Lion—named after the rock’s resemblance to a resting sea lion—Kicker Rock is one of the most iconic and biodiverse sites in the Galápagos.
Its waters are home to scalloped hammerheads along with blacktip, Galápagos, and silky sharks, offering extraordinary underwater encounters. You may also come across graceful eagle rays or immerse yourself in the dazzling movement of a vast school of Galápagos salemas.
After exploring these dramatic cliffs, we’ll head to Bahía Sardina, a white-sand paradise where you can relax on the beach and soak in the beauty of this untouched corner of the islands.
HALF DAY BOAT TOUR
Española Island
At over four million years old, Española is the oldest island in the Galápagos, resting at the southernmost tip of the archipelago.
Travelers from around the world come here to witness one of nature’s most enchanting spectacles: the waved albatross courtship dance, a ritual unique to this island and visible only between April and December.
Yet Española has even more to reveal. Among its hidden gems is a spot where the ocean is so crystal-clear it feels like looking through liquid glass—a place we’ll have the chance to experience firsthand during our visit.

Punta Pucuna
Located on the rugged coast of San Cristóbal, Pucuna Point is a quiet stretch of shoreline known for its striking volcanic formations and rich marine life.
The dramatic contrast between dark lava rocks and vibrant blue water sets the perfect scene for wildlife encounters, whether it’s sea lions resting on the rocks or marine birds gliding overhead.
This spot offers a peaceful, raw connection to the island’s natural beauty — a place to slow down, take in the scenery, and feel the wild essence of the Galápagos all around you.

This 360 tour to San Cristóbal Island in the Galapagos consists of going around the island, here you can see frigates, boobies, dolphins, sea lions, sea turtles, hammerhead sharks, white tip reef sharks, seagulls, gannets, marine iguanas, and many more!

El Junco Lagoon & Galapaguera
Tucked inside the crater of an extinct volcano, El Junco Lagoon is the largest natural freshwater reserve in the Galápagos. A short 15-minute hike brings you to its rim, where frigatebirds often swoop down to bathe in the lagoon’s calm waters—an unforgettable sight.
Exploring the highlands offers a whole new perspective of the islands: sweeping views, lush greenery, and a refreshing microclimate that provides the perfect contrast to the sun and sea of the coast.
On the way to El Junco, we’ll pause at La Galapaguera, a sanctuary where you’ll meet the legendary giant Galápagos tortoises, icons of the archipelago.

About the accommodation and local operator
Your stay will be at the charming, locally owned Tongo Reef Hotel, which has recently been renovated to offer a fresh and inviting atmosphere. While it isn’t a luxury property, it’s comfortable, authentic, and perfectly aligned with the spirit of our expedition. Both the hotel and the boat company are run by the same local family, who have been operating in the islands for decades.
I’ve personally worked with this family—and known them—since my very first trip to San Cristóbal 11 years ago. Watching them grow their business over the years has been incredibly inspiring, and it makes me genuinely proud to now support them with every expedition we run.

Dana Bjarner
PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP
Dana is an underwater photographer, freediver, storyteller, conservationist, and former dancer.
In her quest for connection, she constantly seeks creative ways to merge her art with conservation to inspire others to connect with and protect the ocean.
Her experience in marine conservation, coupled with learning from marine biologists and photographers, has honed her skills for respectful underwater encounters.
During the expedition, she will help you achieve meaningful wildlife interactions by becoming more aware of your body and movements underwater in order for you to feel comfortable and behave in a respectful manner towards wildlife.
She will also be teaching about underwater photography and photo editing.
Natalie Parra
KEIKO CONSERVATION CO FOUNDER
Natalie Parra is a conservationist, freediver, and impact producer dedicated to inspiring collective action for the ocean. She has worked on the front lines of marine protection as a former team member at Ric O’Barry’s Dolphin Project and as Campaign Director at the Oceanic Preservation Society.
Today, she serves as an Impact Producer for environmental documentaries at RandomGood, where she focuses on helping audiences move from awareness to meaningful engagement long after they leave the theater.
As a Cressi ambassador and avid freediver, Natalie uses her time beneath the surface to document and share the visible impacts of human activity on marine life. She believes that each person carries the power to create profound change, and that compelling storytelling is one of the most effective tools we have to protect our ocean.
Janelle Van Ruiten
PHOTOGRAPHER, FILMMAKER AND PROFESIONAL SHARK DIVER
Janelle is a full-time shark diver and photographer based in The Bahamas, working with Bimini Scuba Center. Her love for the ocean began in childhood and has shaped her entire life. Today, she channels that passion into photography and guided trips, sharing her favorite underwater destinations with others. Wherever she goes, Janelle strives to be a steward of the sea and connect with people who share her love for the ocean.
Through her ocean expeditions and underwater photography, Janelle advocates for the voiceless and brings awareness to the natural world. She creates safe, uplifting spaces where people can express themselves fully and walk away inspired — believing that personal peace and purpose are the roots of meaningful change.
